Not everyone receives Easter Monday off. Below is a list of mandatory paid holidays in Ontario. The province is one of the few where Remembrance Day is not a statutory holiday.

Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day, observed on Tuesday, Nov. 11, marks the armistice that ended the First World War. Schools and workplaces typically hold a moment of silence at 11 a.m. to mark this time. Official ceremonies honor all Canadian Armed Forces members who died in duty.

Remembrance Day is considered an "optional" holiday in Ontario.

Manitoba and Quebec also do not grant workers a paid day off for this day.
