Kazakhstan is moving towards a more digital and interconnected trade environment, showcased by the presentation of its CART.IS (Cross-border Assessment of Readiness for Trade Information Systems) analysis results.
The event, held in Astana, gathered representatives from the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, QazTrade JSC, various government agencies, and key partners from the European Union (EU) and the International Trade Centre (ITC). Participants reviewed progress in digitalising trade procedures and explored ways to enhance interagency and cross-border collaboration.
“Further simplification of trade procedures requires not only digitalisation, but also ensuring architectural compatibility between government agency systems.”
The focus is now on deepening digitalisation efforts and improving system compatibility among government agencies to facilitate smoother trade procedures across borders.
Kazakhstan’s CART.IS analysis highlights crucial progress and ongoing challenges in digital trade integration, emphasizing the need for system compatibility to streamline cross-border cooperation.
