At a press conference held at the office of former city president Ashok Ambure on Wednesday, BJP leaders accused the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) of tampering with the voter registration process to benefit their group ahead of the Palghar Municipal Council elections.
BJP representatives, including Ambure and former corporator Akshay Sankhe who recently joined the party, claimed that the Shinde faction is misusing power to manipulate the electoral rolls.
The BJP stated that they submitted documentary evidence and officially filed complaints with authorities on October 28.
