Suns Provide Injury Updates on Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green

The Phoenix Suns continue to wait for a fully healthy roster. Both guard Jalen Green and forward Dillon Brooks have missed several recent games due to injuries.

Injury Details

Jalen Green has been sidelined since the preseason with a hamstring injury and has yet to appear in a regular-season game. Dillon Brooks, dealing with a core muscle strain, sat out his third straight matchup, missing Friday’s game against the Utah Jazz.

Coach’s Update

“It’s continuing to evaluate them day-by-day. We haven’t had a ton of 5-on-5 because of our schedule. Yesterday was more about film and walkthrough. They’ve been able to partake in all of that,” said Suns coach Jordan Ott.

Ott added that both players, who joined Phoenix in the Kevin Durant trade from the Houston Rockets, have stayed active in team activities despite their injuries.

“You can see him in games, how engaged he is and how much he wants to be out there. It’s the same in practice,” Ott said about Green. “He’s been great the entire time. So he’s getting it in here and there, and that’s helped his progress.”

Outlook

Green was expected to be re-evaluated ten days after the preseason injury, but there’s still no clear timeframe for his debut in a Suns uniform. Ott expressed optimism that Green’s continued participation in team drills will help him transition faster once he returns to live play.

Author’s summary: Phoenix coach Jordan Ott shared cautious optimism regarding Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks, noting steady progress though both remain sidelined without a set return date.
