Calgary’s Poppy Campaign Supports Veterans Before Remembrance Day
Poppies and related merchandise to support veterans are available in stores, legions, and online, including the Royal Canadian Legion Amazon store. This is the second year the Legion has operated an Amazon storefront, offering items such as lapel pins, magnets, and poppy flowers in honour of Remembrance Day on November 11.
“The Poppy Campaign is the legion’s most significant fundraising effort, with 100 per cent of proceeds going directly to support Canada’s veterans and their families,” said a news release from the Legion on Friday.
The campaign, which began Friday, will run until Remembrance Day. Albertans can purchase poppy pins online or donate at traditional poppy boxes found at various locations across the province, including TD banks.
