The documentary emphasizes Candy’s humble Catholic faith, which provided him stability throughout his career. His wife, Rosemary, shares their spiritual connection:
“I grew up as a rebellious Catholic, he grew up as: ‘I’m Catholic.’”
The couple married in a Catholic church. Candy, who served as an altar boy during his youth, was discovered holding a Bible when he died in March 1994 at age 44.
