Cricket Australia and NRMA Insurance have launched the Ashes Trophy Tour, bringing the Waterford Crystal Ashes Trophy to fans nationwide ahead of the 2025–26 NRMA Insurance Men’s Ashes Series.
The MCC Waterford Crystal Ashes Trophy, awarded to the winner of cricket’s most legendary rivalry, will visit key cricketing regions known for their rich history.
Fans across these locations will have a rare chance to view the crystal trophy in person.
The MCC Waterford Crystal Trophy is a replica of the original Ashes urn — a small terracotta object commissioned in 1998 to serve as the prize for the series winner. The original urn is now kept permanently at Lord’s due to its fragility and historical value.
“The Ashes is more than just a cricket series; it’s part of our national sporting identity,” said Ed Sanders, Chief Commercial Officer at Cricket Australia.
The tour aims to celebrate the enduring legacy of the Ashes and engage communities with this iconic symbol of cricket.
