Rico Nasty invited Hayley Williams as a surprise guest during her show at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. The Paramore singer joined Rico on stage for a lively performance of the 2020 hit “Smack a Bitch” from Rico's debut album Nightmare Vacation.
After sharing vocals and dancing together, the two embraced to the cheers of the audience. Rico addressed the crowd,
“You guys had no idea!”as Williams waved goodbye.
This concert marked the last stop of Rico Nasty's Lethal North American tour, which began in September with a performance at Riot Fest. The tour supported her latest album, Lethal, released in May. This album is Rico’s third studio release and her first with Fueled by Ramen.
Williams and Rico had collaborated on stage before, when Rico appeared at Paramore’s headlining concert at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles to perform “Misery Business.” Reflecting on that experience, Rico told Billboard:
“It was an amazing experience. And it felt like, I don’t know, my inner child really jumped out. And I hadn’t seen her in a while. Like I hadn’t seen her in a while on stage. I hadn’t seen her in a while backstage, like amongst the team like that. So I was like, ‘Wow, like this feels nice.’ And then I got to talk to Hayley.”
Summary: Hayley Williams surprised fans by joining Rico Nasty on stage in Los Angeles for a spirited collaboration, spotlighting their ongoing creative connection and Rico's Lethal tour finale.
