Fans of the beloved BBC One sitcom Gavin & Stacey now have the chance to spend a holiday in one of the show’s iconic homes. The terraced house featured in Barry, once home to the outspoken neighbour Doris, played by Margaret John, is now open for bookings.
The property, located on Trinity Street overlooking the Island, appeared throughout the series as the home next door to Gwen and Stacey. When the show returned in 2019, it was shown as Gavin and Stacey’s family home, having been passed down after Doris’s passing.
While Gwen’s house has long been a must-see for fans visiting Barry, the neighbouring property—now called “Lush House”—offers a chance to stay right at the heart of the sitcom’s world. The home is owned by dedicated fans Lisa and Chris Molloy, who purchased it after being the first to view the listing. Their passion for Gavin & Stacey dates back to its debut in 2008.
“Lush House,” a red-brick terrace, sleeps five guests across two bedrooms—one double and one with a three-person bunk—and is available to book via Sykes Cottages.
Rates start at £472 for a two-night stay, offering an affordable way for visitors to immerse themselves in the charm of Barry and the spirit of their favourite TV series.
Gavin & Stacey fans can now rent the famous Doris’s house in Barry, lovingly restored by superfans Lisa and Chris Molloy, for an authentic sitcom-themed getaway.
