Arc Raiders Sales Surpass 2.5 Million Copies, Industry Analyst Reports
According to industry analyst Rhy Elliott from Alinea Analytics, Arc Raiders has sold over 2.5 million copies, generating more than $100 million in revenue for developer Embark Studios. This data highlights the game's remarkable commercial success.

The majority of Arc Raiders players are on Steam, accounting for about 69.2% of the total player base. Elliott’s analysis also indicates that 17.3% of players are on PlayStation, while 13.5% are on Xbox.
Why Arc Raiders Stands Out
Unlike other extraction shooters, Arc Raiders’ success may be tied to its strong community focus rather than the extraction gameplay itself. Elliott explains this in a recent blog post:
“ARC Raiders is great because it focuses on community - NOT because it's an extraction shooter.”
This emphasis on community builds player engagement and loyalty, distinguishing Arc Raiders from similar titles.
Player Crossover With Other Cooperative Games
Many Arc Raiders players also engage with other cooperative games. Elliott’s estimates show significant overlap among players on Steam:
- About 50% have played Phasmophobia, Lethal Company, and Helldivers 2.
- Over 40% have played R.E.P.O, Valheim, PEAK, and Dead by Daylight.
This crossover suggests that Arc Raiders appeals to fans of cooperative gameplay, further strengthening its community-centric approach.
