A Powerball ticket sold at a QuikTrip in Columbia, South Carolina, won a $100,000 prize by matching five numbers but missing the jackpot by one, according to South Carolina Education Lottery officials.
The winning ticket was purchased at the QuikTrip gas station and convenience store located at 8205 Two Notch Road, near Exit 17 on Interstate 77 in Columbia.

The winner added the Power Play option for an extra dollar, which doubled the prize from $50,000 to $100,000 due to the "2" multiplier drawn.
The South Carolina Education Lottery stated, "The winner has 180 days to claim the prize."
The search for the winner is ongoing. South Carolina is one of 11 states that permit lottery winners to remain anonymous, allowing the winner to keep some privacy.
