The filming location of the bachelorette party scene gave fans an exclusive look behind the scenes. Director Nisha Ganatra shared her experience balancing humor and chaos during the movie’s most complex moments.
“It was just so fun,” Ganatra said. “When you have Vanessa Bayer, everything’s gonna be funny, especially with Lindsay and Jamie involved. I really wanted to get the switch right, because that’s the magic of the movie. If you don’t buy that moment, everything falls apart.”
Directing the Four-Way Body Swap Scene
Ganatra described the four-way body swap as one of the most complex sequences she has ever directed.
“Oh my God, it was so confusing on the page,” she laughed. “You’re really directing eight performances with four actors. It’s super challenging, but they made it look easy.”
Future of the Franchise
Regarding a potential third installment, Ganatra hinted at a new twist.
“I think it’s time for the guys to swap. But to me, the joy of ‘Freakier Friday’ is the celebration of sisterhood and chosen family — just unapologetic female energy.”
