A road outside Terminal 1 at LAX was closed by Los Angeles police and firefighters to assist a man on a transition bridge.
The incident occurred on Thursday night, starting at approximately 5:45 p.m., when the man threatened to jump off the bridge.
The Los Angeles Fire Department prepared a rescue cushion as a precautionary measure. Fortunately, the Los Angeles World Airport Police Department successfully took the suspect into custody.
Paramedics subsequently evaluated the individual. The road closure resulted in traffic delays in the area.
