June Lockhart, Beloved Mother Figure, Dies Aged 100
June Lockhart, best known for her roles in Lassie and Lost in Space, has died at the age of 100 due to natural causes at her home in Santa Monica.
A family spokesperson, Lyle Gregory, confirmed her death, stating that she passed away on Thursday.
"She was very happy up until the very end, reading the New York Times and LA Times every day,"
Lockhart was known for her on-screen motherly figures, but off-screen, she claimed to be nothing like the characters she portrayed.
