Argentina Midterm Elections: Results and Who Won
The government of President Javier Milei emerged victorious from Sunday’s legislative election, a crucial test for the two years remaining in his term.
La Libertad Avanza secured the most votes nationwide with 40.84% of the vote, while the Peronist alliance came in second with 31.67%.
“How beautiful violet looks on the country,”
President Milei exclaimed, referring to his party’s color, as he celebrated the triumph with a measured and moderate tone.
He stated that the government had crossed “the tipping point” for the country’s reconstruction and thanked his cabinet ministers and other officials one by one.
