Permission is being sought for the redevelopment of the former Iceland store in Newry city centre into a substantial Community Resource Building.
An application was submitted to Newry, Mourne and Down District Council by Mr Liam Devine of The Clanrye Group, a leading Newry-based provider of programmes and services designed to empower the local community.
The application seeks full planning permission to redevelop the former Iceland-occupied property at 28 Monaghan Street into a new Community Resource Building, changing its use from a "former single user retail" space with offices, stores, and ancillary facilities.
