Former Teacher Sentenced to 187 Years in Prison
A former Arizona teacher, Cory Kapahulehua, 44, has been sentenced to 187 years in prison for sexually assaulting two teenage students.
According to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, Kapahulehua targeted a 14-year-old girl and a 17-year-old girl while teaching at Arizona Agribusiness and Equine Center.
- Kapahulehua met both students in August 2021.
- The 14-year-old girl reported having sex with Kapahulehua on school grounds until he was dismissed from his job in January 2022.
- The two also met off-campus, including at a hotel near the school and at a nearby parking garage.
