Dan Chaplik's contract as interim superintendent of Blaine School District has been extended through the 2027-28 school year.
Chaplik, who started on July 1, replaced previous superintendent Chris Granger, who left to take the top job in the Sultan School District.
During his tenure, Chaplik has
hit pause on a controversial plan to merge the district's primary and elementary schoolsand focused on rebuilding trust and improving morale.
The district has the option to opt out of the last year of the three-year contract.
