The Hauser Fire Department in Oregon is persevering after its building burned down three weeks ago. Despite the challenges, the department is updating the public on its status.
The department is currently operating from a donated RV, which was given to them a few days after the fire. Chief Jerry Wharton expressed the difficulties of working from a vehicle, stating:
"Every time you turn around you have another challenge because you go to do stuff like normal, that stuff’s not there anymore,”
The department was able to allow access to the charred remains of their former building, showcasing their determination to continue serving despite the setbacks.
