Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton has shared his approach to making his passing game effective. The England international, currently being tracked by Europe's top clubs, discussed his strategy on the Men in Blazers podcast.
"I try and spot the play I'm going to make before I take possession," says Wharton. "So, then I don't have to think too hard when I get the ball. But I'm always looking to make a forward pass, if possible, try and help the team get up the pitch and create chances."
Wharton emphasized the importance of anticipating the play before receiving the ball, allowing him to react quickly and make swift decisions. He noted that this approach makes it harder for the opposition to win the ball or read his intentions.
