Alan Turing Institute Unveils New Programme
The Alan Turing Institute (ATI) has announced a new science and innovation programme to strengthen the UK's national security, public health, and resilience.
The programme aims to build capabilities across defence, national security, the environment, and health, leveraging cutting-edge advances in AI and data science.
Peter Kyle, then-secretary of state for Science, Innovation and Technology, called for major reforms in the institute's priorities in July.
The new direction follows a period of organisational turmoil and change at the institute, tightening its strategic focus to ensure the UK benefits from AI and data science advancements.
