Thousands of international students in Hungary may face tightened scholarship contracts due to a recent scandal at ELTE.
A lecture by Alexander Yakobson, a historian from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, was disrupted on October 16, leading to a suspension.
The lecture series was titled "Diverzitás és demokrácia az izraeli társadalomban", which is still available on ELTE's website.
The disturbance began when students wearing keffiyehs shouted that the lecture was political propaganda, forcing the lecture to be halted.
Two ministers and the university rector have demanded accountability in response to the incident.
