Repeat offender off the road yet again

Repeat Offender Avoids Prison Sentence

A man with multiple convictions for driving without insurance has avoided a prison sentence after being convicted again at Ballinasloe District Court.

The defendant, Noel Hoare, has a history of driving without insurance and has been banned from driving on several occasions. Despite this, he continued to drive while banned, including after receiving a four-year ban from Tuam District Court last November.

His solicitor, Gearóid Geraghty, stated that his client was pleading guilty and "knew the writing was on the wall" for him, referring to the likelihood of a custodial sentence for repeat offending.

Author's summary: Man avoids prison for repeat driving offense.
