California Secretary of State Questions DOJ Authority
The California Secretary of State is questioning the authority of the Department of Justice (DOJ) to send federal election monitors to 5 California counties.
The California Republican Party (CA GOP) released a letter citing supposed irregularities in the 5 counties, which formed the basis for their request for DOJ monitors.
Despite the announcement and concern, this seems very modest
However, it appears that the DOJ is sending only two U.S. Attorneys to observe voting processes in Orange County.
