The California Secretary of State is questioning the authority of the Department of Justice (DOJ) to send federal election monitors to 5 California counties.

The California Republican Party (CA GOP) released a letter citing supposed irregularities in the 5 counties, which formed the basis for their request for DOJ monitors.
