Virginia Beach Maritime Contractor to Hire 86 Workers
Anchor Innovation, a Virginia Beach-based maritime services provider, will invest $213,000 to expand its operations and create 86 jobs.
The company, founded in 2002, is a service-disabled, veteran-owned contractor that provides marine maintenance and support to the U.S. Navy, including vessel repairs and upgrades.
As part of the expansion, Anchor Innovation will lease additional boatyard space and open a new 1,800-square-foot office in the city's Lynnhaven area.
Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced the expansion plan on Thursday.
