Iraq's Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein called for the disarmament of Kurdish separatist fighters in the north of the country.
The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) had begun laying down its arms in July in a symbolic ceremony in northern Iraq, as part of a peace effort with Ankara.
However, according to Hussein, armed "PKK elements" remain in northern Iraq, notably in Sinjar and Makhmur.
Fuad Hussein urged the disarmament of these elements.
This development comes as part of a broader effort to address the decades-long insurgency in Turkey.
