Six Flags America shut down permanently after 51 years of operation, ending activities at the 131-acre park in Bowie, Maryland.
The closure was announced in May, and on the last day, wait times exceeded two hours for popular attractions like the Superman: Ride Of Steel roller coaster, which had mechanical issues.
