Police Investigate Attack on NAIMOS Team
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has directed the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to investigate the attack on the Director of Operations of the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS) and his team.
The police stated that preliminary investigation revealed the NAIMOS Director and his team intercepted illegal miners near Bronikrom in the Ahafo Region on November 1, 2025, and arrested some suspects.
The Asutifi North MP, Ebenezer Addo, has been invited for questioning over a mob attack on the NAIMOS team at Hwidiem in the Ahafo Region.
The attack occurred after the NAIMOS team intercepted and arrested illegal miners.
