Election Day: What is California Prop 50 and where to vote
It's Election Day in California, and voters have the last chance to cast their ballots in the Proposition 50 special election.
Proposition 50 will put the power of California's Congressional district lines in the hands of voters. Republicans consider it a Democratic power grab, while Democrats believe it's necessary to fight Republican redistricting in Texas.
Voting Information
Tuesday is the last day for people to mail in or drop off their ballots and vote in person. Vote centers will be open from 7 a.m.
- Vote centers will be open from 7 a.m.
- If you are in line at the vote center at 8 p.m., stay in line because your vote will still be counted.
