The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign has kicked off in Central Texas, aiming to support local families this holiday season.
The campaign, which started in 1891, will return to central Texas this year, helping those in need in Bell County.
More than just a holiday tradition, the red kettle is a symbol of hope, compassion and generosity—supporting vital programs that serve thousands of individuals and families in need throughout the year.
According to KCEN, the Salvation Army of Bell County raised over $95,000 in last year’s campaign, with a goal of $125,000 in 2025.
The Salvation Army was founded in 1865 in London by Methodist preacher William Booth and his wife Catherine.
