After the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, his wife Erika shared how their young children have been coping with the loss. Charlie was assassinated nearly two months ago during an event at Utah University.
Speaking with Fox News host Jesse Watters, Erika explained that her daughter, aged three, and son, aged one, still ask about their father. Erika described her emotional efforts to keep their late father present in their lives through gentle conversations about faith and hope.
"After Charlie's death, I told them that Daddy had gone on a work trip with Jesus," she said.
"If you ever want to talk to Daddy, look up at the sky and start talking to him. He can hear you," Erika added, fighting back tears.
"I told her that Daddy is in heaven. She asked, 'You think I could go sometime?' and I said, 'Baby, we will all go one day. We will all go one day.'"
During the televised interview, Erika became visibly emotional, holding back tears as she recounted how her daughter finds comfort in imagining conversations with her father in heaven.
Erika Kirk shared touching details of how her children, especially her daughter, are learning to cope with the loss of their father Charlie Kirk by finding hope in faith and the idea of heaven.
