Born on May 20, 1963, in Bordeaux, France, Elder Caussé grew up deeply influenced by his Latter-day Saint family. His parents were baptized when he was just six months old, embedding him in the Church’s teachings from an early age. After completing one year of military service, he moved to Paris and married Valérie Babin, a childhood acquaintance, in 1986 at the Bern Switzerland Temple. They have five children and have managed relocations and Church responsibilities together with dedication.

Church Leadership and Service

Elder Caussé’s leadership journey began as a General Authority Seventy from 2008 to 2012. He then served as a counselor in the Presiding Bishopric from 2012 to 2015. His experience culminated in an 11-year tenure as the Church’s Presiding Bishop, making him the first non-native English speaker to hold this important position.
