The Los Angeles Rams will introduce a new kicker for their upcoming game. Harrison Mevis is set to make his NFL debut on Sunday, replacing Joshua Karty.
Despite missing or having eight field goals and extra points blocked—leading the NFL in such missed attempts—Karty remains on the roster. Coach Sean McVay expressed continued confidence in him.
“I still do have a lot of confidence in Josh Karty,” McVay said.
In addition to the kicking change, the Rams will also see a new long snapper as they face the San Francisco 49ers. Jake McQuaide, who served as the Rams’ long snapper from 2011 to 2020, will return to replace Alex Ward.
Photos from past games show Joshua Karty reacting after missing field goals and stretching during matches against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Baltimore Ravens.
The Rams will debut Harrison Mevis as their new kicker while retaining Joshua Karty on the roster, alongside a returning long snapper, aiming to improve special teams in their upcoming crucial game.
