The Brit 50: Riff Raff Entertainment

Actor Jude Law and producer Ben Jackson co-founded Riff Raff Entertainment in 2017 after meeting in a London pub in 2000. They developed it into a focused independent company known for producing distinctive, writer-led films and series.

Company Development

Riff Raff produced Harry Wootliff’s drama True Things in 2021 and gained investment from Calculus Capital in 2022. Before the 2023 US industry strikes, the company completed Justin Kurzel’s film The Order and later produced the Netflix series Black Rabbit once production resumed.

Partnerships and Expansion

The company strengthened its position through a first-look deal with Anton for film projects and Studio TF1 for television. Both entities are closely linked, creating an efficient collaboration network.

“It’s win-win for us,” said Jackson about the partnership. “We can take a project to them, and they can match it with the right creative team.”

Riff Raff's success is driven by its strong creative direction and collaborative approach. The team plans to establish a Los Angeles office as part of its international growth strategy.

“We’re hoping to expand through the involvement and the tastes of the people leading the development team,” said Law. “Nurturing other people’s ideas and passions is key to our long-term survival.”

Upcoming Projects

Summary: Jude Law and Ben Jackson’s Riff Raff Entertainment evolves into a major creative hub for original, writer-driven projects with international ambitions and strong industry partnerships.
