Mail shipments from Bermuda to Canada will restart next week despite the ongoing rolling strike at Canada Post. A Bermuda Post Office spokeswoman confirmed that shipments will resume on Monday, but delivery delays may persist due to the disruption.
“The BPO appreciates the public’s patience and co-operation during this time.”
Mail services to Canada were halted in late September following a nationwide strike by Canada Post workers. Recently, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers shifted from a national strike to a rotating strike, enabling mail deliveries to recommence.
Additionally, all Bermuda local post offices will close at noon tomorrow for a staff event.
“The BPO apologises for any inconvenience this early closure may cause.”
