The FIFA World Cup is coming to Canada next year, and many of the country’s top musical talents will be involved in a special project. Canada Soccer announced a new program on Tuesday that highlights prominent Canadian artists collaborating on an album inspired by the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The tournament will take place in Toronto, Vancouver, and 14 other North American host cities. The album, called the Perfect Pitch project, features artists such as Alessia Cara, Charlotte Cardin, Loud Luxury, Nelly Furtado, The Tragically Hip, and Zeds Dead. The project is led by Grammy-winning producer Boi-1da.
“The energy around this project has been incredible. It’s inspiring to see so many iconic Canadian artists come together. What we’re creating isn’t just an album, it’s a cultural statement. The music represents every corner of the country, and I’m proud of how collaborative and inclusive the process has been,” said Boi-1da.
The album will include original songs, reimagined tracks, and unique collaborations with some of Canada’s most celebrated musicians. It is scheduled for release ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which begins across North America in June.
This project showcases the diversity and talent of Canadian music in celebration of a landmark sporting event.
