Challenging the Unstoppable Giannis
The Toronto Raptors faced a tough 122-116 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks in their home opener, a game that pitted them against the formidable Giannis Antetokounmpo, also known as the Greek Freak.
Giannis, a former NBA MVP and one of the league's best big men, posed a significant challenge for the Raptors due to his size, power, and agility, making it difficult for them to defend him in the post. He drew numerous fouls and made many trips to the line, particularly in the first quarter.
Despite the challenges, the Raptors had an opportunity to capitalize on the minutes when Giannis was not on the court, as he is not known for playing extended minutes, especially early in the season.
Giannis isn’t the same battle as the defence-averse Hawks
The Raptors had previously won their season opener with 138 points against the Atlanta Hawks, but Giannis proved to be a different and more formidable opponent.
