June Lockhart, a renowned actress whose career spanned from Hollywood's Golden Age to notable television roles, has passed away at the age of 100 in Santa Monica.
Lockhart was best known for her roles as a mother figure in the popular series "Lassie" and "Lost in Space". According to her family spokesman, Lyle Gregory, she died of natural causes on Thursday. Gregory, a friend of 40 years, shared that Lockhart remained engaged and happy until the end, reading The New York Times and LA Times daily, emphasizing the importance of staying informed about current events.

Lockhart's acting career began with ingenue roles, leveraging her talent as the daughter of character actor Gene Lockhart.
