Yorgos Lanthimos Takes a Break from Filmmaking
Yorgos Lanthimos, a 5x Oscar nominee, is set to release his latest film, "Bugonia", on October 31. Despite his recent productivity, with award-worthy films featuring Emma Stone for the third consecutive year, Lanthimos feels the need for a break.

He admitted to Collider that he intends to take a break after "Bugonia"'s release, a promise he's made before, but this time he's serious.

It’s a big mistake. I’ve said that before in between the other three, but I’m serious now. I’m going to take a little break.
