Sharks Locker Room: Celebrini's Rise to Superstar
The San Jose Sharks' game against the Minnesota team was expected to be another story of blown leads and loss. However, Macklin Celebrini saved the day with a 6-5 OT victory.
Despite the win, the Sharks are still struggling with self-inflicted mistakes. In the first period, they were up 2-0 but took a high sticking penalty, leading to a power play goal by Marcus Johansson. An unforced error soon followed, resulting in a 2-on-1 goal by Marco Rossi.
"That was our own doing," said San Jose Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky. "That's one big lesson."
The same pattern repeated in the third period, but the Sharks managed to regain their lead. Author's note: Celebrini's performance is a promising sign for the Sharks.
