Hideo Kojima's haunting demo, P.T., for his cancelled Silent Hills game, is being used to teach English to Japanese students.
The legacy of P.T. remains one of gaming's greatest "what-ifs". The demo shook the internet on launch after its surprise release on the PlayStation 4 with little to no marketing.
As players completed the experience, they discovered it was a demo for an upcoming Silent Hill game starring Norman Reedus, which was later cancelled due to a falling out between Kojima and Konami.
Now, P.T. has found a new life as a teaching tool to help Japanese elementary students learn English.
The brief demo's impact remains significant, even after being delisted from the PlayStation store.
