‘One bad employer’ blamed for ‘inadequate’ Ofsted result

Ofsted Inspection Result

A specialist security training provider, White Point Solutions, has been given an 'inadequate' Ofsted inspection result.

Inspectors found that few apprentices were released from work for off-the-job training. The provider began publicly funded apprenticeship training in January 2024 and was inspected this summer.

The inspection examined the training of 25 apprentices on level 2 and 3 security service standards, all of whom worked for one employer that supplied security services to sites such as universities.

Stuart Catton, a director at the provider, stated that Ofsted "insisted" on pushing ahead with the inspection despite the CEO and head of quality being out of the country, which led to the inspection being postponed.

The provider blames the behaviour of "one bad employer" for the inadequate result. Author's summary: White Point Solutions received an 'inadequate' Ofsted result.
