Emmy-winning filmmaker John Turturro has been selected to direct a new feature documentary on Torre’s life and career. The project is a collaboration between MLB Studios, Motto Pictures, and BD4.
The documentary will chronicle the Yankees legend’s transformation from a shy Brooklyn teenager with a turbulent childhood into one of baseball’s most respected figures.
