Swedish fashion retailer H&M has signed a multi-year agreement with materials science company Recover to integrate its recycled cotton fibre, RCotton, into its products.
“At H&M Group, we want to grow our business decoupled from resource use and extraction, with products and materials circulating at their highest value.
H&M and Recover have collaborated since early 2024 on product development, enabling the commercial introduction of Recover's mechanically recycled cotton into H&M's collections.
H&M invests in innovative solutions and infrastructure to increase the availability and affordability of recycled and sustainably sourced materials, according to Ulf Krigsman, head of materials and components.
