Summer Tourism in Canada Hits All-Time High

Canada's tourism sector has generated a record-breaking revenue of $59 billion between May and August, a six per cent increase compared to the same period last year.

The strong growth is driven by domestic and international travellers, with domestic tourism up seven per cent and revenue from international travellers increasing by 10 per cent, particularly from overseas markets.

According to Destination Canada, the increase in tourism is due to various factors, including international events such as the G7 summit held in Kananaskis Country, Alberta.

Canada’s tourism operators will remember the summer of 2025 fondly, as the amount of money spent by tourists reached an all-time high.
