The Indiana Daily Student is facing opposition from its own university, with administrators attempting to restrict its publication of news stories in its homecoming print edition.
As a result of refusing to comply with the university's order, Jim Rodenbush, the Director of Student Media, was fired on the 14th. The university then cut print entirely for the Indiana Daily Student just hours later.
However, a show of solidarity came from Purdue University's student paper, The Exponent, which printed 3,000 copies of a special edition featuring editorials from the Indiana Daily Student and delivered them to IU's campus on the 17th.
