Indonesia’s Amman Mineral moves a step closer to getting export permit

Indonesia's Amman Mineral Closer to Export Permit

Indonesia has banned exports of copper concentrates and raw minerals since mid-2023 to promote domestic metal processing.

Amman Mineral Internasional has received backing from the energy ministry to export 480,000 dry metric tons of concentrate, valid for six months from October 31.

With the resumption of copper concentrate exports, which had been suspended since early 2025, Amman will be able to prevent concentrate storage facilities from exceeding their capacity.

This will enable mining operations to continue, according to Amman Mineral.

The trade ministry stated that Amman Mineral has yet to apply for an export permit.
