McPhaul Wins Gainesville School Board Seat
Trey McPhaul has won the Gainesville Board of Education District 2 seat, narrowly defeating Amy McKinney Kerr with 50.76% of the vote, a margin of just 11 votes.
McPhaul, a local business owner and parent of children attending Gainesville City Schools, aims to improve equitable access to learning opportunities. He stated:
I think we have so many programs and things that exist currently and could be brought to the forefront. I think we just want to continue to make those things accessible to all the students in our school system.
