After a narrow win against Stan Wawrinka in his opener, Musetti progressed smoothly, defeating fifth seed Alexandre Muller 6-2, 6-4, with improved serving. During an on-court interview, he said:
"A better match, a better start also compared to yesterday. The key was today, I served really, really good. That gave me the confidence with the game to be more aggressive, especially with the forehand. That’s what I need to do in this surface."
Challenges and Goals
Musetti faces the tough task of overtaking Felix Auger-Aliassime, the current holder of the ATP Finals spot. The 23-year-old hasn't won a title since October 2022 and has lost his last five finals.
He also hopes to win an indoor championship for the first time and is motivated to finish 2025 strong, especially after battling injuries throughout the season.
Semi-final Opponent
Sebastian Korda, who has secured three wins at the ATP 250 event, is set to face Musetti in the semifinals, aiming to conclude his year in the top 50 rankings.
