Remembrance Day Parade Returns to Fort St. John

A parade and ceremony will take place downtown Fort St. John on November 11 to honor fallen Canadian soldiers and recognize the service of veterans and active military members.

Event Schedule

The annual Remembrance Day parade, organized by the local Royal Canadian Legion branch, will start at 10:40 a.m. outside the School District 60 office on 102nd Street. The route will continue along 105th Avenue, pass the Legion building, proceed to City Hall, and then return to the cenotaph for an outdoor ceremony.

Ceremony and Activities

Following the outdoor ceremony, guests are invited inside the Legion for a day of community events. The city’s website lists several activities, including horse races, a turkey shoot, and dinner. Attendance is free and requires no pre-registration.

Traffic and Safety Notice

“Road closures will be in effect along the parade route and near the Legion building from 9:30 a.m. to noon on November 11, with no vehicle access allowed,”
